The Leesburg area lacks the congestion of some of the larger population centers in Florida. Our moderate climate is one of the finest in the United States. You can count on “Shirt Sleeve” weather almost year round here, with temperatures varying for a low of 48 in January, to around 90 in July, with balmy springs and pleasant autumn weather

RECREATION AND ENTERTAINMENT

Leesburg and nearby Sumter County boast of an abundance of golf courses,
and most of these courses are within a few miles of Leesburg Landing.

There are over 1400 fresh water lakes in the metro area that provide a variety of ,water-related activities. Leesburg is surrounded by Lake County’s famous Chain of Lakes providing access to Lake Griffin, Big Lake Harris, Lake Eustis, and Lake Dora.

Shopping and dining out is not a problem in the Leesburg area. There are literally hundreds of restaurants to satisfy any taste. Your closeness to Orlando and Ocala and the small towns in between,
with their unique shops, provides even the most demanding of shoppers plenty to choose from.

MEDICAL FACILITIES

Health care is #1 within Leesburg and surrounding counties. Leesburg Regional Medical Center is an up-to-date local facility that provides advanced medical technologies consistent with meeting the needs of the community. In addition, residents may avail themselves of the medical expertise offered by the Shands Teaching Hospital affiliated with the University of Florida located in Gainesville. There are numerous specialized physicians and medical facilities within the city and surrounding areas.

More than fifty places of worship are located in the Leesburg area. Every major religious denomination is represented within the vicinity of Leesburg Landing.

TRANSPORTATION

Major highways are a stones throw away. Highway 441 and 27 are just up the road, I-75 and The Florida's Turnpike are only 14 miles away. We are about 50 miles from Orlando International Airport.

EDUCATION

Lake County has, in addition to their public school system, private and parochial school for all grades. There are no less than 9 Universities, Colleges, and Community Colleges in the Central Florida area.
